This statement explains how your personal data is collected and used, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data Controller

Gill Gillespie is the data controller for all personal data collected via this website. For data-related queries, please use the contact form.

What Data We Collect and Why

The following sets out every category of personal data we collect, why we collect it, our lawful basis under GDPR Article 6, and how long we retain it:

Contact form data (name, email, project details)

Collected to respond to your enquiry and deliver services. Lawful basis: contract performance and legitimate interest. Retained for 12 months from the date of last contact, then deleted.

Session data (workflow details, files shared during 1:1 sessions)

Collected to deliver your custom Personal Playbook. Handled in strict confidence and used solely for that purpose. Lawful basis: contract performance. Retained for the duration of your engagement plus 12 months, then securely deleted.

Analytics data (IP address, technical site data)

Collected via Squarespace Analytics to understand how visitors use this site and improve our services. Lawful basis: consent, given via the cookie banner on your first visit. Data is aggregated and not stored at an individual level.

Payment data

Processed securely by Stripe to complete your transaction. Lawful basis: contract performance. Retained for 7 years in accordance with Irish tax law. We do not store your card details directly.

Data Processors

We use the following third-party processors, each bound by a Data Processing Agreement (DPA):

  • Squarespace: Squarespace (site hosting and analytics) — data may be processed in the US under Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • Stripe: Stripe (payment processing) — data may be processed in the US under Standard Contractual Clauses.

International Data Transfers

Both Squarespace and Stripe are US-based companies. Transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are made under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, which provide appropriate safeguards for your data in accordance with GDPR Chapter V.

Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).

Professional Disclaimer

Gill Gillespie Studio provides strategic creative consultations, digital system design, and media editing services. We are not a legal, cybersecurity, or medical firm. Our services do not guarantee immunity from digital threats, platform algorithm changes, or hardware failures.

Services and Delivery

  • Unblocking & System Design: Unblocking and System Design are advisory services. Implementation of the Personal Playbook or System Build is the client’s responsibility unless separately contracted.

  • Content Direction & Editing: The Studio acts as a creative consultant. We are not responsible for content performance on third-party platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

Payments and Refunds

All transactions are processed securely via Stripe.

  • PDF Guides (Digital Products): In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022, you will be asked at checkout to explicitly consent to immediate digital delivery and acknowledge that this waives your 14-day cooling-off right. Once this consent is given and delivery has begun, all sales are final.

  • 1:1 Sessions: A 48-hour cancellation notice is required for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may be rescheduled at the Studio’s discretion. Full terms are provided in your individual service agreement, which you will receive before your booking is confirmed.

Intellectual Property

All original frameworks, designs, and artwork on this site are the intellectual property of Gill Gillespie. Clients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use their custom Playbooks for their own personal or business use. Reproduction or resale is not permitted without prior written consent.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
